The current president of the PP in Lanzarote, Ástrid Pérez, has confirmed her candidacy for the Congress that the party will hold on April 17, in which she hopes to revalidate her position. “The moment and the opportunity have arrived for all the work to culminate in the highest aspiration that a party has, which is to govern alone,” she said.

“We are at a decisive moment, in which we have made a difficult journey, and finally the members and citizens will be able to see the result of these years of work,” added Pérez, who will compete for the Presidency of the PP in Lanzarote with Saray Rodríguez, who already announced her candidacy a few days ago.

Ástrid Pérez has valued “the effort made by all colleagues to redirect the party and improve its implementation until reaching the best electoral results we have ever achieved.” “Now we have the opportunity to reap the rewards of all that work,” said the candidate, who aspires to the PP governing “without anyone by their side.”

For Pérez, "the presence of the Popular Party in the governments of the main institutions of the island is highlighting the solvency of our political project and the determination when making decisions."

“We have made honesty and efficiency in management our hallmarks, so our goal for the 2023 elections is to turn the Popular Party of Lanzarote into a clear, tangible and real benchmark of good public management; the best guarantee we can have so that the Popular Party of Lanzarote is definitively consolidated as the leading political force on the island,” she concluded.
