While the final stretch of October paints much of the European continent with autumn, with thermometers dropping and skies overcast, Lanzarote once again stands out as one of Europe's great warm sanctuaries.

The "rabbit island" has entered the sixth position among the best European enclaves to escape the autumn cold, leading the Spanish representation in a study conducted by the travel firm Solmar Villas.

The report evaluated over a hundred geographical points across Europe, cross-referencing two key variables for last-minute getaways: autumn climatic stability and the accessibility of flight ticket prices.

In this balance, the Canary archipelago demonstrates its competitive strength by placing Lanzarote in sixth place, immediately ahead of neighboring Fuerteventura (seventh), as the only two Spanish territories capable of rivaling the eastern Mediterranean basin.

Despite the Canary Islands' inclusion, the ranking is overwhelmingly led by Cyprus, which monopolizes the top four spots thanks to its minimal chances of rain: Ayia Napa is crowned in first place, followed by Limassol, Larnaca, and Pafos.

Greece takes the fifth position with the Athens Riviera, just before giving way to the Canary island block. After Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, the Greek map regains prominence with the islands of Rhodes (eighth) and Kos (ninth), with Malta closing the list in tenth position.
