The Arrecife City Council, chaired by Astrid Pérez, has organized the celebration of an award ceremony for the rehabilitation of homes in the city of Arrecife. “Many residents of Arrecife have ensured the preservation of the capital's heritage, further embellishing part of our history,” says the mayor, Astrid Pérez.

According to the City Council, "an exhaustive study will be carried out on the numerous heritage values of the capital and will reward those owners who have cleaned and maintained their property in perfect condition for years." “As mayor, I am proud to have granted a large number of licenses, in these last three years, for rehabilitation in the city of Arrecife,” adds Pérez.

“These people are true heroes, because they have maintained one of the identities of our municipality, its historical heritage,” says Ástrid Pérez.

The capital's Consistory will present these awards to the winners on November 16, in a place that will be announced soon, coinciding with International World Heritage Day.

“We are going to continue encouraging homeowners with valuable properties to protect them, rehabilitating them, because there is no greater protection than making it easier to rehabilitate these properties,” concludes the mayor.
