The Arrecife City Council informs clubs and athletes that, from this Thursday, May 22, sports activities are temporarily suspended at the Puerto del Arrecife soccer field, municipal facilities located between the neighborhoods of Altavista, Valterra, and Titerroy.
The Department of Sports of Arrecife, under the direction of councilor Elí Merino, has already notified sports clubs of this measure, and details that the provisional suspension is motivated by the execution of the construction works of the new canopy and lateral wall to provide a shaded area to these sports facilities in the city.
The City Council, which has already signed this suspension decree, has adopted this preventive measure at the request of the Safety and Health coordinator of the works in execution, which are located in the grandstand area of this soccer field, frequented by users and attendees to sports competitions, many of them minors.
The Arrecife City Council will notify the opening of these facilities as soon as the development of the works, and the Safety and Health director of the same, determines it.
