The Department of Education of the Arrecife City Council, led by Abigail González, has approved the definitive list of transport grants for students who studied outside of Lanzarote during the academic year 2023/2024.

Councilor Abigail González has stressed that "these grants are essential to support our families and students, who must face significant expenses when moving off the island to continue their education." This year, the amount granted has been 587.24 euros per student, benefiting a total of 596 approved applications.

The final agreement was approved at the Local Government Board today, October 3, 2024, after evaluating the allegations presented by some applicants. Among the applications, those that did not meet the requirements or did not address the required corrections were rejected, such as the lack of registration or partial payment receipts.

The definitive list can be consulted on the Arrecife City Council website, in the electronic headquarters and notice board section.

Finally, the councilor reiterated "her commitment to continue improving and expanding these grants, ensuring that all young people in Arrecife can access a quality education, regardless of geographical or economic barriers."
