To increase and improve citizen attention, the Arrecife City Council has implemented a prior appointment system since this Monday, July 6, which can be requested through the Arrecife City Council website 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Until today, given the health situation due to Covid-19, prior appointments were channeled through telephone calls during office hours. However, from now on, residents have this "agile and direct" system to process their matters in person at municipal offices.
In addition, the prior appointment via the Internet, which can be requested through https://citaprevia.arrecife.es/, allows citizens to choose the day and time that suits them best to go to the City Council in person. After requesting the prior appointment, users will receive an email confirming the day and time of the appointment.
The Consistory indicates that the progressive reopening of municipal centers and services, to avoid crowds, is being carried out with the assignment of prior appointments, given the preventive measures to control the spread of Covid-19.
Electronic headquarters
The Councilor for New Technologies, Human Resources and Internal Regime of the Arrecife City Council, Eduardo Placeres Reyes, also recalls that the electronic headquarters of the Arrecife City Council allows the online processing of certificates and administrative documentation. However, public sector regulations require that they have the digital certificate to carry out these procedures electronically, and the City Council recognizes that not all citizens yet have the digital certificate and go to the City Council offices for these procedures.
Finally, the Consistory recalls that, with the declaration of the alarm due to Covid-19, the Government of Spain agreed on a series of social and economic aid measures that facilitate the postponements of mortgages, access to economic aid, or the processing of PCI (payments for the Canary Islands Insertion benefits). In all cases, it is pointed out that the state and regional administration is requiring certificates of registration or cohabitation, among others, which are causing an "avalanche" of requests and the presence of citizens before the municipal dependencies due to the lack of a digital certificate that would avoid these trips.
