"Arrecife has been left without the Los Ilegales concert due to the incompetence of the Popular Party and the Canarian Coalition," and since the solidarity rock concert scheduled for this Wednesday, December 7, has been suspended again, says the PSOE spokesperson in the Arrecife City Council, Cristina Duque. The spokesperson highlighted: "It is the second time this has happened."
The purpose of the concert was to collect toys and non-perishable food for the most needy, according to the municipal government group. The charity event was going to be held in the Parque Islas Canarias, but, in view of this new suspension, "it seems that the Popular Party and the Canarian Coalition are not too keen on comforting the children and the most disadvantaged population during these holidays," says Cristina Duque.
"They are specializing in failed concerts"
Days ago, the mayor of Arrecife proceeded to sign the decree declaring the tender for the contract called "Private service for the solidarity rock concert in the Arrecife Christmas festivities" void, for an amount of 26,000 euros plus 1,820 euros in respect of IGIC. Therefore, said expense has been canceled. For Cristina Duque, "Astrid Pérez (PP) and Echedey Eugenio (CC) are more interested in blocking each other than in managing the Arrecife City Council diligently and efficiently."
The spokesperson for the Socialist Group in the City Council concludes: "After the suspension of the Andy and Lucas concert, it seems that both are specializing in failed concerts."
