The Arrecife City Council has eliminated the appointment system for carrying out procedures related to registrations and changes of address in the municipal register. From April 1st, the number system will be reinstated, with numbers being handed out first thing in the morning at the municipal offices.
The Mayor of Arrecife, Astrid Pérez, believes that "the number system is better because citizens can process their paperwork on the same day and avoid waiting to get appointments, as is happening with the current system, which gives appointments more than a month in advance."
"It should be noted that from April 20th, when all prior appointments are finished, a total of 35 numbers will be distributed daily. From April 1st, as both appointments will alternate, fewer numbers will be given out," the capital's Consistory concludes.
