The Works Department of the Arrecife City Council has recently completed the work of repaving the accesses to El Cable Beach and the large outdoor parking lot located next to the Nautical Sports Center.

In addition to improving these public spaces, the City Council is planning new facilities in the beach area for which it has already submitted the request to Coasts, which will allow the beach area to be adapted.

The mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León, is directly responsible for the Works Area in the capital of Lanzarote and has been checking the completion of these works in El Cable this week.

Yonathan de León has announced that the machinery has been moved these days to the Titerroy neighborhood where the Department of Public Works will carry out new improvements to the pavement of several streets, as an extension of the phase that was already carried out last summer in this neighborhood and allowed a good change to the streets around the Titerroy Health Center.

The mayor has confirmed that the Municipal Repaving Plan, which includes improvements in almost 150 streets, has allowed work to be carried out in these first weeks of 2025 in several streets of La Vega, and now the work will focus on the neighborhoods of Titerroy and Altavista.

Yonathan de León, who recalled that A"rrecife has the largest municipal repaving plan in its history", will allow us to continue making good changes to many streets in different neighborhoods of Arrecife, "some repaving that comes after almost 30 and 40 years without improvements in many of those roads in the capital of Lanzarote".
