Workers belonging to group A, that is, the highest professional category, will receive 487 euros more each month; those in category B, 345 euros, which would correspond to 15% for "specific supplement", that is, according to the responsibilities performed. The decision, which Alternativa Ciudadana considers to be a "comparative grievance" and a "robbery", was taken this Tuesday in the capital's Plenary Session. The rest of the workers would have an equal increase of 200 euros, given that it is "impossible to assess the functions performed" to apply the specific supplement.

The improvement of salaries will cost the City Council more than one million two hundred thousand euros per year, not counting Social Security. The opposition warns that the intention to carry out a RPT, Job Position List, in January is "contradictory" with this measure, because it would not make sense to withdraw the increase when the regulation comes into force.

Another disbursement that the Corporation has agreed on in the plenary session this Tuesday has been the expansion of services with the drafting team of the General Urban Planning Plan. In this case, the increase in the cost of the contract amounts to 198,000 euros, although the 84,000 destined for the Tenorio Plan would be paid by the businessmen of the neighborhood's warehouses.

Some plenary agreements

About to finish the works of the first phase of the project to recover the historic center of the capital, the plenary session has also approved that the second phase continue, in the section that goes from the Plazuela to Calle Real. For this, it will receive a subsidy from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and New Technologies.

In addition, the Consortium for the prevention, extinction of fires and rescue of the island of Lanzarote, which was recently approved by the Cabildo, will also have a municipal participation of 10.48 percent. The capital's City Council has adhered to the statutes, a procedure that all city councils have to carry out, in order to constitute an entity in charge of security tasks in this area.
