The Arrecife City Council announces the publication in the Official Gazette of the Province of subsidies to cover the payment of expenses for the replacement of vehicles with an ordinary taxi license with adapted vehicles.
"We are thus continuing with the plan to increase accessibility in public transport in the capital," said the city's mayor, Yonathan de León, who valued this official call as "a further step towards the city objective set at the beginning of the legislature." Likewise, the mayor stressed that in this way "the commitment made to the taxi sector is fulfilled", since it was agreed to bring this subsidy forward "before the end of the year".
The Councilor for Transport and Mobility of the Arrecife City Council, Mario González Altube, also explained that the City Council is allocating a total amount of 70,000 euros to this subsidy, intended for those who hold a taxi license in the capital.
This line aims to compensate the beneficiaries for the expenses they have incurred for the replacement or adaptation of their vehicle, in accordance with the technical requirements provided for in current legislation and in the Municipal Ordinance.
It should also be noted, as explained by the Councilor for Mobility and Transport, that this subsidy "will not take into account investments or expenses for vehicles that already have an adapted vehicle license." "This line is only for those who have an ordinary license and wish to change to an adapted license," said González Altube.
The submission period is 15 business days from this Tuesday, October 8, that is, until October 28, 2024. Once finished, the Arrecife City Council will publish the list of error corrections, which, in this case, those interested will have a period of ten business days to correct.
