The New Canaries councillor Armando Santana has decided to leave the Governing Board of the Arrecife Town Hall, which also entails resigning from the Deputy Mayor's Office, as required by the Regulations of local administrations. As Santana himself explained to La Voz, his decision is due to the "need to focus fully" on the areas he holds: Commerce, Tourism and Hospitality.

The councillor has already communicated this to the mayoress, Ástrid Pérez, in a meeting that they both held this Tuesday. Furthermore, he assures that there is no other reason, beyond focusing on his other responsibilities. "There are many events that will take place in the coming months", he stressed, highlighting that he maintains a "magnificent relationship" with Ástrid Pérez.

"Unfortunately, leaving the Board implies obligatorily leaving the Deputy Mayor's Office", added Armando Santana, who states that he has asked the mayoress "for someone from the Popular Party to hold it".
