The Renovating Movement of Tinajo, a new political party led by Antonio Morales, presented its official candidacy for Mayor on Wednesday night at the Mancha Blanca social and cultural center. Surrounded by a large audience that filled the teleclub hall, Morales received one by one the fifteen members of his list, a team of men and women excited to develop a complete program of actions aimed at "improving the quality of life of the residents and recovering the pride of belonging to Tinajo, which was once one of the cleanest municipalities in Spain."
"If there is will, things work out," said Antonio Morales, who stressed that the management line of the Renovating Movement will focus "on listening to the people of Tinajo, the families, the young people and our elders." And for this, Morales announced that his government policy will begin "with meetings in all neighborhoods, because all policies are based on counting on the people."
Throughout his speech, Antonio Morales detailed some of the essential topics of his program such as improving the lake of La Santa and tidying up its entire surroundings, generating employment, taking advantage of the tourism that visits the Timanfaya National Park by fixing trails, paths and roads and promoting it with the creation of a tourist information point.
For the Renovating Movement of Tinajo "the improvement and maintenance of municipal infrastructures is essential (cleaning, sidewalks, playgrounds, lighting) and making a commitment to strengthening the primary sector, valuing the local product at a decent price, in addition to promoting small businesses." In this sense, he announced "greater agility" in the procedures for its implementation in the town.
Modify the General Plan "to adapt it to a suitable industrial area"
The modification of the General Plan to adapt it to an industrial area in accordance with the environment, enhance each of the municipal departments to motivate the city council staff, as well as promote the local development agency to promote job opportunities, are other proposals presented.
Morales also announced that he will create a municipal animal shelter, as well as a social hunting reserve, among other issues that he will announce to his neighbors next week "so that each resident knows in detail what their commitment to Tinajo will be if they govern in the coming years."
