The Island Highway Service has deployed all its personnel this weekend due to the arrival of an Isolated Depression at High Levels (DANA) in Lanzarote, which predicts heavy rainfall

“All the workers in the area are warned of possible incidents on the island's roads”, explains the vice president and island councilor for Public Works, Jacobo Medina, who has given the order to distribute the team “at the points where the most water usually accumulates on the island”.

The Island Highway Service will be in direct contact with the Security and Emergency Consortium to know the situation at all times and act in a coordinated manner in the event of possible closures of island roads.

The Councilor for Public Works is currently coordinating the entire team and is organizing the road device that guarantees the safety of drivers traveling on the roads at all times.

The Public Works area reminds citizens to respect the indications and recommendations offered by the Security and Emergency Consortium and to avoid driving if it is not necessary while the weather alert is in effect.
