Several people found a stranded dolphin on a beach in Puerto del Carmen this Friday around 1:00 p.m. The animal was sick and bleeding, so it was quickly transferred to a pool at the Hotel San Antonio, where they are trying to heal its wounds, although its condition is very serious.
The beach where the animal was found is right next to the hotel. Therefore, after notifying the Civil Guard, it was decided to transfer the animal to the small saltwater pool for children at this hotel complex.
Several people from the animal shelter, as well as Seprona, have arrived at this place. "They helped him quickly and we imagine they will try to heal his wounds and then transfer him," they say from the hotel, from where they also assure that the dolphin is quite sick.
In addition, Seprona is looking for another dolphin, possibly a calf, which also seems to have been in the vicinity of this beach in Puerto del Carmen and which could also be sick.
