Maritime Rescue has rescued two precarious boats that were located three miles from Roque del Este. Thus, according to the Security and Emergency Consortium, these would be the seventh and eighth barges rescued in less than 24 hours in Lanzarote.

In this case, the Salvamar Polimia has come to provide assistance to a total of 98 migrants. As La Voz has learned, it is a pneumatic boat and a wooden boat. In the first, around 60 people of Maghreb origin were traveling, while in the second, 50 people of sub-Saharan origin were doing so.

One of the two boats is the one that has been searched for since Wednesday morning. With these, there would be 368 people rescued from Sunday night to Monday afternoon on the island. Among them, several women and children. At the moment, the bodies of the seven missing people have not been found, including a four-year-old child.

To attend to these last two boats, tents and temporary bathrooms have had to be installed since the CATE (Temporary Attention Center for Foreigners) of Arrecife is full, according to the Consortium.
