Maritime Rescue has rescued two new boats with 93 people, according to reports from the Emergency Consortium.
The first boat was intercepted at approximately 10:35 p.m. this Sunday, January 1. It was carrying about 56 people of sub-Saharan origin.
And the second boat was transferred to the Commercial dock at approximately 7:00 a.m. this Monday. In this last boat, there were about 37 people, including two minors and a woman. After being assessed by the health device, the woman was transferred to the hospital center.
Arrival of boats this weekend
With these two boats, there have already been five boats arriving on the island this weekend. In total, 216 people were traveling, according to reports from the Emergency Consortium.
