Next April 9, at 9:30 p.m., the San Bartolomé Theater will host a concert by the tenor from Conejero, Pancho Corujo, accompanied by the pianist Josu Okiñena, in tribute to Venezuelan, Argentine and Mexican music, "for all those from Lanzarote who have emigrated to some of those countries and who have felt that double channel of nostalgia at some point in their lives," according to the tenor himself.
In the words of Pancho Corujo, "this is a personal tribute of recognition to those Canary Islanders who were moved to learn about South American music when they emigrated to that continent and who are still moved today when, already back on their islands, they continue to listen to it. This means that two channels of nostalgia run through the veins of many emigrants: the longing for their land that they experienced when they were away and the longing they have today in memory of the countries that welcomed them when they needed shelter and food."
In this concert, which will be the first of nine that the tenor from Conejero will give throughout the national geography, you will be able to listen to songs such as "Canción del carretero", "Sampedrino", "Triste", "Tu partida", "Estrellita", "Dime que si", "El Araguaney" or "Morucha".
