The Tías City Council wishes to express its condolences for the death of Antonio García Martín, 76, owner of the well-known Pizzería Capri, one of the restaurants best valued by residents and repeat visitors to Lanzarote, which opened to the public in 1985 on the first line of the Avenida de las Playas in Puerto del Carmen.
The City Council regrets his death and shares its condolences with family and friends, especially with his wife María Cristina Dos Santos, his children, Juan, Martín, Ulrika, Matías and Naomi García; his brothers, Encarna, Domingo, Rafa and Román García; and his grandchildren, Simón, Jonathan, Oliver, Olivia, Mateo, Sabina and Nahuel.
Toni García, a resident of Mácher and a restaurant businessman, was characterized by his kindness and special attention in close treatment, with generous acts and empathy oriented towards familiarity and well-being.
“With the opening of his pizzeria in 1985, the modernization of hotel establishments on the avenue began, frequented by foreigners and people from the country”, says Juan Cruz Sepúlveda, author of the book El Volcán del Turismo, where an image of the restaurant appears.
