With great joy and participation, the residents of Titerroy supported the Holy Patron on the great day of his festival. At 11:00 a.m. this Tuesday, the celebration of the Holy Mass began, presided over by José Antonio Socorro Valido, who served as parish priest in Titerroy during the years from 2001 to 2005 and was assisted by the current parish priest, Manuel Arencibia, Rafael Tejera, parish priest of San Bartolomé, and Miguel Hernández, parish priest of San Ginés.
For such a special celebration, the Canarian Mass was sung, masterfully interpreted by the Martín family, directed by Professor Clotildo Martín. The Homily dedicated to Saint Joseph the Worker, patron saint of the Universal Church, a very important pillar whom the working class has chosen as their Patron. The celebration, which was very participatory, ended with the singing of the Hymn to Saint Joseph.
Next, the image crossed the portico of the church amidst applause and cheers, where the members of the San Bartolomé Municipal Band "Acume Banda" were waiting for them. Band directed by Professor Juan Kenty Mauri, in charge of accompanying the Holy Patron's tour through the different streets of Titerroy. Behind the image was accompanied by the clergy with the celebrating priests, the authorities and the parishioners. Once the tour was over and while the image of Saint Joseph returned to the church, the applause and cheers were repeated, thus ending the most important day of the festivities in honor of the Holy Patron Saint Joseph the Worker.
