Maritime Rescue has rescued three boats near the coasts of Lanzarote in the early hours of this Wednesday, with a total of 170 sub-Saharan immigrants.
The first boat was located at 9:50 p.m. on Tuesday night in waters near the island, with 45 men, 16 women and 2 minors, while the second was carrying 57 people on board, all of whom were rescued at 11:00 p.m. Both rescued boats arrived at the port of Arrecife at around 2:00 a.m.
Likewise, at 7:20 in the morning, the Salvamento rescue ship docked again in the capital with another group of 47 people, including 26 men, 18 women and three minors, according to details from the Lanzarote Emergency Consortium.
For its part, 112 confirms that, for the moment, two women and a minor have had to be transferred to hospitals after receiving first aid at the dock.
With these three boats, there are now four that have reached the island this week, after the one that was rescued in the early hours of this Tuesday with 65 people on board.
In addition, last weekend another two boats reached Lanzarote, and both were rescued by Maritime Rescue. On Saturday night, a boat with 58 immigrants on board was rescued, while on Sunday a pneumatic boat with 56 people inside was rescued. In total, since last Saturday, a total of 349 people have arrived in Lanzarote in boats.
