Los Simplones, Las Vacilonas, Los Tabletúos, Los Desahuciados and Los Titi Roys opened on Monday night the XXXII Murgas Contest of the Arrecife Carnival.
According to La Provincia, the waiting lists in Health, the lack of professors at the ULPGC Nursing School, citizen insecurity, homophobia or unemployment were some of the issues that came to light on the comic world stage.
Also, there was no shortage of lyrics dedicated to the island's politicians, including the president of the Cabildo, María Dolores Corujo, the mayor of Arrecife, Ástrid Pérez, and the former president of the first institution, Pedro San Ginés.
The second and last phase of the Murgas Contest will be held at 9 pm this Tuesday, at the Arrecife Fairgrounds, and will feature the participation of Las Pijoletas, Las Inadaptadas, Las Enraladas and Los Intoxicados. The final will be on Friday at the same time and stage.
