Pre-alert situation declared for haze and winds in the Canary Islands

Adverse weather phenomena are not giving Lanzarote a break, which this Tuesday remains on pre-alert for wind and haze. In addition, both yellow warnings have been extended until Wednesday.

In the case of the wind pre-alert, it will be active throughout today and, in principle, until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, with gusts of up to 70 kilometers per hour expected.

Regarding the haze, the yellow warning will be in effect until Wednesday night, affecting visibility to 3,000 meters, and even below that distance at times, mainly affecting the south and east slopes of the island.

On Monday, the State Meteorological Agency also ended up activating a yellow warning for rain, which intensified late in the day. That warning is no longer active this Tuesday, although the rains have continued. However, they have already done so with less intensity and are expected to subside at noon.
