The Emergency Department of the Government of the Canary Islands has reported this Sunday that the pre-alert situation for coastal phenomena is still in effect throughout the Archipelago.

Thus, the regional Executive has stressed the importance of not approaching the coast of the islands while this phenomenon remains active. "No photos or selfies where the waves break, they could drag you out to sea," they added on social networks.

In this sense, they have placed special emphasis on not walking or circulating near beach line areas or approaching the sea, "even if it suddenly calms down" to avoid unnecessary risks.

In addition, 112 has asked the population to avoid fishing "and other activities in dangerous places."
