The Cabildo of Lanzarote celebrated this Friday, October 21, in the Islote de la Fermina, the closing ceremony of the II International Congress 'Worldcanic Lanzarote'.
After three days of debate, experiences, and communion of the volcanic communities of the planet, this gastronomic event comes to an end and, after having toured different locations on the Island, the Congress, which has brought together representatives from countries with great volcanic links, such as New Zealand, Indonesia, Ecuador, Iceland, France, the United States, Rwanda, or the Democratic Republic of the Congo, closes its second edition.
In this last day, the presentations 'Lanzarote Cuisine and new paradigms', 'The volcanoes of Asia, the most active on Earth', by the professor of Culinary Vanguard at the Basque Culinary Center, Lolo Román, and the chef of the Tacande Restaurant, Daniel Jiménez, took place; 'Northern Indonesian cuisine', by the chef at Pengalaman Rasa (Bali), Ketut Sri Gayatri Tata; and 'Product cuisine with history', with Victoriano Santana, from the Casa Torano Restaurant.
Likewise, the round tables 'Volcanic Legumes', with the manager of Ecofinca Vegacosta, Toño Morales, the gastronomic journalist Salvador García Arbós, and the farmer José Domingo Rodríguez, and 'How has gastronomy influenced the growth and development of destinations?' were held, with the manager of Saborea España, Lluís Pujol, the mayor of Ciudad Real, Eva María Masías, the gastronomic advisor Juan Carlos Clemente, and the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, José Valle.
