The Canarian Institute of Hemodonation and Hemotherapy (ICHH) continues its blood donation campaign at the Deiland Shopping Center, in San Bartolomé, to reach donors and residents of the municipality of Lanzarote.
From October 23 to 31, the extraction point located in the Deiland Shopping Center, in the cafeteria area, in the back, on Chímindas Street, 20, will remain operational.
The hours will be Monday to Wednesday from 3:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. On October 27 and 31, the hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Requirements to donate blood
The basic requirements to donate blood are to be between 18 and 65 years old (up to 60 if it is your first donation), weigh more than 50 kilos, be in good general health and not be pregnant. However, since there are multiple variables that can determine the suitability of the donor, the ICHH makes available to citizens on its website efectodonacion.com a self-assessment questionnaire with which to check if you can donate blood.
Protocol for donation
To donate blood you can go directly to the extraction room or make an appointment by calling 012 or 928 301 012 (option 8), from Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. or by completing the appointment form published on the website efectodonacion.com.

Where to donate in Lanzarote
The fixed blood donation point of the Canarian Transfusion Network is also operational at the Doctor José Molina Orosa University Hospital, on the Tinajo 2 road. The hours will be Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., except holidays. With or without prior telephone appointment 928 595 572 (option 3).
