The children were the protagonists of the closing ceremony of the summer activities in the municipality of San Bartolomé. During the event, the children's parents were able to see a sample of the work done by their children during the months of July and August. In addition, the little ones made a representation of a parody. Finally, there was an exhibition of artistic gymnastics and another of rhythmic gymnastics.
The event was attended by family and friends of these children who during the summer have participated in workshops, sports activities and other events. All of them were proud of the work done by their children. In this way everyone spent a fun afternoon a few days before the start of the school year.
Valuation
As every summer, the San Bartolomé City Council organized an extensive program of activities to be carried out during the summer months. The objective is for the citizens of the municipality to participate in different events throughout the months of July and August. In this way, hot days are spent in a different way while participants learn, have fun and meet other people.
One of the most successful activities was the swimming courses that have been extended throughout the two summer months. For this they use the swimming pool of the military airfield "to whom I thank because they provide us with the swimming pool", said Candelaria Ledesma, Councilor for Sports of the City Council of San Bartolomé. Within the sporting events, it is worth highlighting the aerobics classes and games on the beach that had to be extended until August due to the large number of people.
In the same way, the participation was excellent in the excursions that were made to the Teguise water park and to Alegranza. The citizens of San Bartolomé also turned to the visit to Teguise in which a setting group participated that made a representation of the Middle Ages.
Finally, the summer school stands out, through which the children went to the sports halls and practiced different sports. For this they had monitors who were in charge of preparing the games for each day. In addition, thanks to this staff, the little ones have been watched.
