The screening of an audiovisual where the most outstanding aspects of the life of "Acatife" were collected gave way to the beginning of the concert, under the title "25 years in two hours". The chords of the folk group began to sound with the interpretation of a selection of songs by soloists and musicians who have passed through the group in the various eras of the same. Many of the former members traveled expressly to Lanzarote to participate in the evening. Thus, the concert ended with a song in which all the members who have shared the stage in these 25 years participated jointly.

Sergio Cabrera, Ciro Corujo, Antonio María Perdomo, Pedro César Pérez, Juan Carlos Tabares, Nicolás Ventura, Melo Hernández and Chicho Fuentes participated as guest soloists. During the night they played some of the songs from the album they intend to record and present in 2009, as well as the rest of the already released albums: Cruz del mar (1986); Peñas del Chache (1991); Acatife sings Christmas (1993); Cantos de Lanzarote (1995); Christmas in a place in the Atlantic (1996) and El diablo de Timanfaya (1996).

Skating and choral singing

In addition, the weekend in the Villa has also featured various performances included in the municipality's Christmas program. A series of proposals that continue this week with events such as the children's musical show that will take place in the municipal tent next Friday, December 19.

The Church of Guadalupe hosted on Saturday, December 13, the traditional lyrical performance organized by the Coral Polifónica Villa de Teguise. The voices of the main choirs of Lanzarote could be heard in a venue packed with public. The organizing group was in charge of closing the evening, although in the last musical theme the attendees could enjoy the joint interpretation of all the choirs to a Christmas rhythm.

Sunday's day had two eminently youth appointments. In the Manuel y Esperanza Spínola Theater of the Villa de Teguise, a dozen small amateur actors staged a piece about the Nativity. Before, in the covered pavilion, the Skating Gala was held, which was launched by the Municipal School. The contest, which was attended by about 500 people, was revealing with the acrobatics of the students the keys to a sports practice very followed by the youngest of the municipality.

The local festive program continues this Thursday 18 with the dessert contest, which from 8:00 p.m. will take place in the socio-cultural center of the municipal capital.
