Pilar Díaz Martínez was abandoned in a shopping bag when she was a newborn baby. The girl was found between two bungalows in Famara, in Teguise, in 1982. Now, she has returned to Lanzarote from the peninsula to find out who her biological parents are.

42 years ago, a man who was in Los Noruegos at the time, Francisco Armas Curbelo, found the girl between houses 127 and 128 and notified the Civil Guard. Francisco was not supposed to work that day, "but for some reason he was there," Pilar says in an interview with La Provincia

"When he saw the bag and what was inside, he got nervous, called the Civil Guard station, the reception of the apartments and they rushed me to Valterra." Then, an agent who was stationed in Lanzarote took charge of Pilar. He and his wife, both now deceased, became her adoptive parents.
