The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has reported four new cases under study for possible diagnosis of monkeypox, one of them in Lanzarote. This new patient joins another that was reported three days ago, both pending the result of the tests.
Regarding the cases already confirmed in the archipelago, they remain at 20, of which 15 are from Gran Canaria and five from Tenerife.
Regarding the new cases under study, one has been classified as probable, in Tenerife, and the other three -two in Gran Canaria and the one in Lanzarote- as suspected.
From Health they emphasize that "all are having mild symptoms and remain in home isolation, receiving follow-up from Primary Care".
