Salvamar rescued a pneumatic-type boat with 57 migrants east of Lanzarote at dawn.
The occupants have been transferred to the Commercial dock where they have been attended by the Red Cross. 40 men, 14 women and three minors, all of sub-Saharan origin, were traveling in the boat.
After being assessed by the health personnel, six of the occupants, including two pregnant women and three minors, had to be transferred to Molina Orosa.
This is the second boat to reach the coast of Lanzarote in the month of May, after the one that had to be rescued 50 miles away on May 2, with 60 people inside.
