Rescue rescues a boat near Lanzarote and goes in search of another

There were 35 people on board the boat, which was about five kilometers northeast of the island.

Maritime Rescue has rescued a boat near the coast of Lanzarote in the early hours of this Wednesday, and in the morning has gone in search of another that has been located by the Helimer helicopter. 

The Salvamar Al Nair has intercepted the boat about five kilometers northeast of Lanzarote, to 35 people who were sailing in it. According to the Emergency and Security Coordination Center, there were 33 men and 3 women on board, all of Maghreb origin. In addition, one of the occupants has been transferred to the Molina Orosa Hospital.

The disembarkation of these people took place at 08:39 hours in the capital of the island, from where Al Nair plans to leave in search of another barge that has located the Helimer 206 helicopter, also northeast of Lanzarote, added the sources of Salvamento. 

This second vessel is scheduled to arrive at the Arrecife Commercial Dock around 12:30 hours, and could carry some 39 people.
