Cruz Roja Juventud Lanzarote in collaboration with the Department of Citizen Participation of the Teguise City Council, headed by Agustín Méndez, will carry out the activity "learning on the beach" next Saturday, October 1.
The activity will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Las Cucharas beach in the town of Costa Teguise, and is aimed at the entire population of the island. A series of games will be held within the framework of the health promotion project that the young people of the Red Cross are carrying out. In addition, a training activity will be carried out by the Red Cross Lanzarote relief and emergency area, where resources and strategies will be offered in the face of situations that may occur on the beaches of our island.
The campaign to collect school supplies for boys and girls who do not have the resources to start the school year in the schools of Lanzarote will also continue.
These activities aim to promote participation and social interaction between boys, girls and young people from the island of Lanzarote through the development of recreational and educational activities, in a natural and outdoor environment. The Director of Cruz Roja Juventud in Lanzarote, Paola Betancort Brito, highlights that "recreational activities allow creating a space to share experiences, opinions and ideas" and adds that "Cruz Roja Juventud offers a socio-educational alternative to children and youth, and to the population in general from participation".
Cruz Roja Juventud is the youth section of the Spanish Red Cross, made up of boys, girls and young people between the ages of 8 and 30.
