The Spanish Red Cross in Lanzarote will conclude the toy collection campaign, which began last December, this Wednesday, January 4, at the Miramar Hotel in Arrecife from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The toy collection is part of the "their rights at stake" campaign organized by the Red Cross Youth.
The youth section of the Red Cross understands play as a means of educational and pedagogical dissemination and invests all efforts so that in this significant time, no boy or girl is left without receiving their toy. The Red Cross Youth also recalls that the Universal Declaration of the Rights of the Child recognizes play as a fundamental right, since playing enables optimal situations that influence the healthy growth and development of children.
The toys that the institution is collecting in this action are non-warlike and non-sexist toys and, preferably, educational to promote among the little ones principles and values that promote learning and coexistence. From the humanitarian institution they wish to "thank the wide reception of this campaign in the society of Lanzarote, as well as the support and collaboration of more than twenty entities and companies that have turned to make this year all the boys and girls of the island keep their illusion alive." On this occasion, the toy collection will have the collaboration of the Miramar hotel and Conchic Peluqueros.
