Orange warning activated for high temperatures in Lanzarote for Saturday

The warning will be active between 10:00 and 20:00 hours and thermometers are expected to reach 37 degrees on the island

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated the orange warning for high temperatures for Saturday in Lanzarote.

The warning will be active between 10:00 and 20:00 hours, expecting that in that time the thermometers reach 37 degrees on the island, especially in inland areas and the south coast.

The heat will also affect the rest of the islands of the archipelago, for which meteorological warnings have also been activated. In the case of Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria will also be in orange warning between 10:00 to 20:00 hours on Saturday.

In addition, from 12:00 hours until the end of the day, a yellow warning for haze will be activated in Gran Canaria. Also, this island will also be on Friday, between 10:00 and 20:00 hours, in yellow warning for heat.

As for Tenerife, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro yellow warnings will be activated for high temperatures on Saturday, also between 10:00 and 20:00 hours, expecting thermometers to reach 35 degrees.
