The San Ginés festival program included this year a new event entitled "Women of the Port". At 9:30 p.m. on Saturday night in the Fairground tent, its content was revealed by the comedian Kike Pérez, who was in charge of presenting this new space.
According to Pérez himself, it was a tribute to women in general with a more special touch to the women of Arrecife. The event began with the reading of a poem recited by Tania Hernández dedicated to women, followed by the entrance on stage of the members of the vocal music group Pentawoman with a very careful staging and a musical selection that the public rewarded with their prolonged applause. For this performance, Pentawoman had the collaboration of the young pianist Melba Artiles and the maestro Carlos Almaguer on percussion, one of the greats of music in Lanzarote.
After the performance of this group, the comedian Kike Pérez knew how to connect with the public, managing to make them burst out laughing more than once. Next was the turn for the singer Almudena Hernández, a young woman with very good musical skills who offered four songs, choosing for her farewell the so-called song of the summer "vivir mi Vida" by the singer Marc Anthony.
Kike Pérez returned to the stage with new monologues and thus gave way to the singer Dulce who made a spectacular entrance with her two dancers riding on powerful motorcycles belonging to the Nomads club. Without a doubt, Dulce demonstrated the great qualities she has when it comes to getting on a stage, taking great care of her staging with very current choreographies and surprising vocal skills, which made her win over the public very easily.
This first event of "Women of the Port" ended with the presence of all the participants on stage who received the applause of the public as a reward for their good work.
