Marciano Acuña Brito, the last blacksmith of Haría, has died this Tuesday, January 17 at the age of 93.
The father of the former mayor of Haría, vice president of the Cabildo and regional parliamentarian, Marci Acuña Betancort, was recognized in the town for being a veteran blacksmith who knew the manual techniques used in the forge before the electric revolution.
The wake will take place at the Haría Municipal Funeral Home and the funeral will be held this Wednesday, January 18 at 12:00 p.m. in the Parish of Our Lady of the Incarnation.
