Once again, Caleta de Famara welcomed the Queen of the Festivities election gala, Miss Famara Beach and Miss Caleta de Famara 2011, during the festivities in honor of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart of Mary.

A night that stood out this year for an innovative opening of the event by the candidates themselves. In the middle of a choreography, they were introduced for the first time to those present, in a non-scoring parade.

Hosted by Ruíz Rodríguez and Oliva López, on this occasion La Caleta offered a gala also translated into sign language, thanks to Nana.

Under the watchful eye of Toño Aparicio, designer and director of the gala, as well as his team, a total of 14 aspirants paraded in swimsuits, the work of the Dimorky SL workshop dressmakers.

The show was provided on this occasion by the rhythm and strength of various dance groups. The first to perform was Liberty Dance with an excerpt from their "Wellcome to Burlesque."

Next, the Alma Latina dance group performed part of their show called "Around the World" and also featured the collaboration of choreographer and dancer Fran Vega.

Later, the boys and girls of Lyberty Dance returned to the stage performing a history of their long career as a group called "After ten years?"

We then welcomed the nervous candidates back on stage. This time in evening wear by Toño Aparicio himself. Once the last scoring pass was finished, the wait for the jury's verdict was made more enjoyable as we enjoyed a new dance by the youngest members of the Estefanía y Compañía group, who performed various dance styles such as chachachá, tango, pasodoble, etc.?

The jury table was made up of Mrs. Mercedes Morales Ventura, President of the Las Trompeteras Murga; Mr. Luis Carlos Berdonces, Deputy Director of the Hotel Esperia Lanzarote; Mrs. Magdyeni Barrios Disotuar, representative of the Ferver Creative Group; Mrs. Lucinda Bunce, Miss Arrecife 2011; Mrs. Carmen Rosa Lorenzo, representing the Dimorky SL workshop; Mr. César Ivo Machín Morales, Mr. Famara 2002 and triathlete; Mrs. Fátima de León Ventura, resident of Caleta de Famara. Mr. Francisco Hernández, official chronicler of the Villa de Teguise, performed the duties of secretary without voice or vote.

After reading the jury's decision, Raquel Cabrera Hernández won the Miss Congeniality award; Aisata Diallo Martín, Maid of Honor of Miss Famara Beach; Maid of Honor of the Queen of the Caleta de Famara 2011 Festivities, Nuria Díaz Hernández; Maid of Honor Miss Caleta de Famara 2011 Nazaret Rodríguez Cabrera; Miss Famara Beach 2011 Saray de León Robaina; Queen of the Caleta de Famara 2011 Festivities Amankay Castro Torres and Miss Caleta de Famara 2011 Laura Martín Concepción.

A night full of nerves and emotions in which the fourteen candidates shone with their own light before the hundreds of people gathered there.
