The Las Salinas neighborhood in Arrecife hosted, the week of June 17 to June 23, three galas of Misses and Misters and a Drag Gala. A complete party program full of performances such as the Ladies and Ladies Gala, Miss and Mister Kids, the Miss and Mister Adults Las Salinas and the Drag Gala.
The beauty contest of the Ladies and Ladies Gala, for ages between 40 and 60 years old, was held on June 20 in the Las Salinas Park. A contest in which seven people participated, revealed one of the organizers, Carlos Alonso, together with the other two colleagues in charge Yoana Martín and Yacorey Bonilla.
In the case of Miss and Mister Kids, which was held on June 21, the nine young people who participated are between two and 11 years old. "There were ten girls and three boys who decided to participate," Alonso highlighted. For the Miss and Mister Adults Las Salinas contest, held on June 22, there were "nine people", seven girls and two boys, between 15 and 27 years old.
On Sunday the Drag Gala took place, with the performance of six people representing the islands of Lanzarote, Tenerife and Gran Canaria. The Drag Queen of Tenerife, Eva Harrington, Exuberancia Carey of Gran Canaria Drag Vulcano and Abigail Merino, Drag Abalon and Drag Xoul of Lanzarote.
In the Miss and Mister Kids contest, the young woman who was proclaimed Miss Las Salinas Kids was Ingrid Morales, the Mister Kids Las Salinas was for Thiago Umpierrez, Miss Zona Centro Kids was for Alba González and Neyzan Navas as Mister Zona Centro Kids, finally, Neyzan Navas became Mister Zona Centro Kids. The winner of Mister Las Salinas was Kevin Umpiérrez and Mister Las Salinas was won by Ainara Rodríguez. Yanira Batista and Steven Ospina were the winners in the Miss Zona Centro and Mister Zona Centro category.
The beauty contest of the Ladies and Ladies Gala was won by Carmen Dolores Cascajo and Alexandra Navas was the Lady Zona Centro. In addition, in the Ladie Las Salinas category, Isidra Bolaños won the award and María del Carmen Vizcaíno won as Ladie Zona Centro. As for the Queen of the Las Salinas Festivities, Analia Medina was proclaimed.
Alonso recalled to La Voz how the gala program has been received by the residents of the neighborhood. "The parties have been very crowded, the impressions have been incredible, people are very happy, we have received signs of affection in the neighborhood," he added.
The organizers have thanked the jury, the presenter Samuel Benasco and the professionals who have made possible the preparation of the participants, such as the makeup artists Alejandro Padilla and Gracias Alonso and the official photographer Ariley.
