Lanzarote added a new positive for Covid-19 this Friday. It is a man residing on the island who had just returned from Mexico and who, after feeling unwell, went to the Emergency Room, where he underwent a PCR that tested positive. The patient did not require hospitalization and is in isolation with follow-up by Home Care.
In addition, the tracing of his close contacts has been carried out and samples will be taken throughout this Saturday, July 11, according to health sources.
With this new positive, the island has six active cases of coronavirus after the five cases detected in five of the immigrants who arrived in the last boat to Arrecife. In total, there are 94 accumulated cases of covid-19 on the island since the health crisis began.
