Lanzarote exceeded 34 degrees this Monday and remains on yellow alert for high temperatures

Aemet has deactivated the warning for Wednesday

The thermometers exceeded 34 degrees this Monday in Lanzarote, which remains on yellow alert for high temperatures.

Specifically, according to data from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), Tías was the hottest area on the island yesterday, reaching 34.3 degrees.

A similar temperature was reached in the airport area, where it reached 34.1 degrees. Meanwhile, in Haría the thermometers reached 31.6 degrees.

On the other hand, the lowest temperature was recorded in Tinajo and was 26.8 degrees. In Teguise and Yaiza, the maximums were 28 and 28.6 degrees respectively.

The yellow alert for high temperatures will continue this Tuesday, a day in which part of the island has woken up under fog. The warning will be active between 11:00 and 19:00 hours, expecting to reach 36 degrees. The heat, according to Aemet, will mainly affect the interior and south of the island.

Initially, Aemet extended the yellow alert until Wednesday, but has now deactivated it.
