The windstorm that began two weeks ago continues to be felt in Lanzarote, which will be on yellow alert until 5:59 p.m. this Monday, according to forecasts from the State Meteorological Agency. In addition, the pre-alert for the bad state of the sea is activated until 11:59 p.m.

Regarding the wind, the island has continued to withstand gusts of 70 kilometers per hour in recent hours, specifically the airport recorded gusts of 71 kilometers per hour at 2:30 p.m. this Saturday, May 22.

During the morning of this Saturday, firefighters had to intervene to hold some metal sheets that were about to come off due to the wind at a gas station in Uga. Agents of the Yaiza Police have also traveled to the place. The firefighters have removed some sheets and have held others.
