The friends of Howie Roka, the young player of the Conejero Basketball Club who recently passed away, have dedicated a farewell rap to him.
"Today the island darkens, the spotlights have gone out, Ismael Howie died on us, he is always with us. My black man, this is for you, although it really doesn't feel like enough, a warrior's heart like you there will be no other", are the words with which this emotional song begins with which they wanted to pay tribute to their friend.
"You left and left us, you left with God, but I want you to know that you left your mark. And I really don't believe it, I still see your smile, an endless dream and the neighborhood got ugly", continues the lyrics of this rap dedicated to Howie Roka.
Howie Ismael Roka Bopatopé was born on August 7, 1997 and died in recent days, a few weeks before turning 24 years old. He started in the schools of CEIP Nieves Toledo in the 2006/2007 season, and since then his life was linked to the orange shirt, going through all the categories of the club until he made his debut with the EBA team, in the national category. "He leaves us who for us was like one more of the family. His loss represents a hard blow for all of us who were lucky enough to know him”, said the coach of the first team of the Conejero Basketball Club, Iván Fernández, after his death.
