The island of Gran Canaria registered a 3.6 magnitude earthquake this Wednesday, which was felt in several towns such as Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Telde.
According to data from the National Geographic Institute, the earthquake occurred at 08.16 local time, at a depth of 20 kilometers from the island.
The seismic movement has been classified with intensity three and, in addition to the capital and Telde, it has been felt in the municipalities of Agaete, Agüimes and San Bartolomé de Tirajana, among other areas.
Along with this earthquake, the National Geographic Institute (IGN) has detected seven others during the early morning on the island of Tenerife. The most intense was located in the municipality of Guía de Isora shortly before 04:00, with a magnitude of 2.9 and 10 kilometers deep, and two others of magnitude 2 and another of 1.6 were also recorded.
In addition, in the neighboring municipality of Adeje, two others of magnitudes 2.4 and 1.5 were recorded. Likewise, another seismic movement of magnitude 2.1 and a depth of 12 kilometers has been recorded in the sea and to the north of the island.
