The Teguise City Council, through the Youth area directed by Sara Bermúdez, has promoted within its Christmas program "Teguise Encanta", a musical event aimed at promoting the artistic skills of young singers in the municipality.
The first pass of this concert - also to be held on January 2 in Costa Teguise - took place on Friday at 8:00 p.m. in the Convent of Santo Domingo de La Villa.
The young singers Desiré Hernández, Genaro Pérez, Gara Umpiérrez, Gerardo Machín and Vicky Rodríguez, with the instrumentation of Guataca's Band, delighted with their talent an audience that applauded the interpretations of themes such as "Te quiero, te quiero", "A puro dolor" or "Cielito lindo".
Also, and to put the icing on the event, the five artists, in the company of a band of eight musicians directed by Ayoze Rodríguez, performed a Christmas carol and closed a night that left great impressions among those present.
"Teguise Encanta" is one of the projects promoted by the Department of Youth of Teguise to highlight the youthful talent of the municipality and serves as a continuation of other musical events in which young artists of various genres have been the undisputed protagonists of the show.
Sara Bermúdez, Councilor for Youth, has expressed her gratitude "to those who have made possible the celebration of this unique concert", congratulating "the singers, who moved everyone with their voices and talent; the musicians, fantastic professionals; all the organizers, for their dedication; and of course, the public, for their great reception".
