The public hospitals of the Canary Islands Health Service will offer this Thursday, on the occasion of Canary Islands Day, a special menu made with local products for inpatients.
Since admitted patients have different pathologies, the menus prepared will follow medical guidelines and will be adapted to the nutritional needs of the patients.
Therefore, the meals will be adapted in different versions, such as, for people with diabetes, hypertension or who should follow low-fat or astringent diets.
Thus, the Doctor José Molina Orosa University Hospital joins the commemoration of Canary Islands Day and will offer a special menu to its patients consisting of salad with papaya and white cheese from the country as a first course, sancocho with sweet potato and potatoes with green mojo as a second course.
For patients with a therapeutic diet that is easy to chew, it will offer a watercress cream, and for dessert, a gofio mousse will be served.
