The Consorcio del Agua de Lanzarote has published in the Boletín Oficial de la Provincia (BOP) the announcement of rectification of applications for the call for aid for the installation, rehabilitation, and repair of water tanks and cisterns in Lanzarote and La Graciosa.

In total, more than 130 applications have been registered among individuals, professionals from the primary sector, companies, and communities of owners. Part of them are already complete, while others will have to correct or provide documentation to continue with the procedure.

The president of the Cabildo de Lanzarote and of the Water Consortium, Oswaldo Betancort, has stated that “our objective is to collaborate with the citizenry in the improvement of the integral water cycle, reinforcing the storage capacity in homes and agricultural exploitations”.

For his part, the Water Councilor, Domingo Cejas, has reminded that “it is important that applicants complete the documentation on time so as not to be left out of these aids”.

The call has an allocation of 250,000 euros and allows subsidizing up to 70% of the investment, with a maximum of 1,400 euros per applicant, both for domestic and agricultural use.

The announcement establishes a period of 10 business days to correct errors or provide documentation. Those who do not do so within that period will be definitively excluded from the process. Interested parties can contact the Water Consortium of Lanzarote or access the list on the bulletin board of the Consortium's electronic headquarters.
