The Lanzarote singer Drágana Balde Brito has announced on her social networks her new relationship with the Murcian bullfighter Pepín Liria, thirty years older than her.
"We are very in love, happy and excited about creating our future and writing our history", she/he has said in statements to La Voz. "We get along very well, we do absolutely everything together, we are a team", she/he has continued.
The Lanzarotean woman is also an activist and is committed to social causes. Of a father from Guinea-Bissau and a Lanzarotean mother, she has achieved repercussion both inside and outside the island with several topics related to the fight against racism and xenophobia.
Before entering the world of music, Drágana had been a professional basketball player for teams like Gran Canaria or Torrelodones of Madrid, participating in the Canary Islands and Spain National Teams.
For his part, José Liria, better known as Pepín Liria, has more than 700 bullfights behind him and is a specialist in bullfighting bullfights of the so-called "tough" ones. He retired from the bullrings in 2008, although he returned to perform in July 2011 in the Murcia bullring, alongside the top figures of bullfighting.
