Diego Betancort from Lanzarote gave an interview this Friday to Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero, where he explained his time on the program "A Prince for Corina" and his disappointment at not having been chosen by the young woman. "When she gave me the shoe and I saw that it didn't fit, I was shocked. I thought we had something real. But she decided to go with him, and it seems that it hasn't lasted long," he said.

Betancort has stated that he has practically no contact with Corina. "I started out really well with her. I thought it was mutual, that we had something super special. There was complicity and chemistry and I got my hopes up. Rome was the architect of me not being the winner," said the Lanzarote native, since it was in the Italian capital where Pascual, the winner of the program, managed to kiss Corina.

Therefore, Betancort believes that Rome took its toll. "She forgot about me quickly," he admitted. The conejero has assured that despite this "there was no bad vibes", although "he thought there was going to be something" between the two. And even if Corina now thinks of trying to contact him, the Lanzarote native has made it clear that he "is not anyone's second choice." "I'm very sorry, but not to Rome, nor to Paris, nor to New York. I'm not going to La Graciosa with her either."

Betancort applied for the casting of the Cuatro program because he found it "interesting", not like Big Brother "where you expose yourself too much". "I cheered up. It was a new experience and I launched myself to do the casting. I was lucky enough to be one of the people who could enter."

The balance of this experience, according to Betancort, is "very good". "I had a good time with all the people on the team, I met different people that at first glance you might not approach, but then you get to know them and they are fantastic," he said. And in this way he has referred, specifically, to the contestant who claimed to be a vampire. "I found out at the first gala and no, it's not prepared, there are people who are like that. At first it scared me a lot. I thought that if he came with us, watch out. We were scared," he acknowledged.

The Lanzarote native has already finished his Engineering studies and is thinking of doing a master's degree or going abroad to look for work, given the current situation in Spain. This summer he is preparing several events such as bowling in different places in the country.
