Canary Islands registers seven more cases of coronavirus in the last 48 hours and reaches 2,462 positives

The Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands has registered seven more cases of coronavirus in the last 48 hours, reaching 2,462 positives since the beginning of the pandemic, according to the updated data provided by the Regional Ministry of Health.

Likewise, of the total number of positive cases registered in the Canary Islands, 2,224 people have been discharged from hospital, so that 76 cases remain active in the archipelago, where the number of deaths stands at 162.

By islands, Tenerife continues to be the one with the most cases, 1,508, of which 1,387 have been discharged and 11 remain active, while 110 people have lost their lives due to Covid-19.

After it is Gran Canaria with 614 positives, of which 561 have been discharged and 14 are active, although 39 people died; followed by La Palma with 107 cases, of which 100 overcame the disease and seven died.

In the case of Lanzarote, there are 94 positives, of which 88 have been discharged, six are active and another six have died; for its part, Fuerteventura registered 88 cases, of which 47 overcame the disease and 41 are active.

Finally, in La Gomera there have been eight cases that have already overcome the disease, while in El Hierro the three positives counted also received medical discharge.
